NJFP IMO STATE CARRIED OUT A HEALTH SENSITIZATION AND DISTRIBUTED TOILETRIES/CLEANING MATERIALS WORTH OVER ONE MILLION NAIRA
The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Program (NJFP) Imo State chapter (Cluster 4) carried out a health sensitization on personal hygiene to the students of St Joseph ambrosia secondary school Umuhu okabia in Orsu Local Government Area and also distributed distributed essential toiletries and cleaning materials to support students and teachers.
The donated items include gallons of izal, waste bins, cartoons of sanitary pads, mops, and parker, aimed at enhancing hygiene and sanitation within the school environment.
The Project which is one of the community development initiative of the NJFP started with a comprehensive One hour lecture to the students of the said school solely on personal hygiene and the need to keep our environment clean, after that toiletries and other cleaning items such as mops parkers waste bins etc were handed over to the sanitary prefect and the principal of the school . Mr Vincent Onyekachi the principal of the school thanked NJFP Imo State for their benevolence, acknowledging the positive impact which the items and health lectures will have on the school and its students in due time . Their sentiments were echoed by other community leaders in attendance, who commended NJFP for their efforts in supporting education and community development in Imo State.
The distribution of these essential items is expected to significantly improve the learning environment, particularly for female students, by addressing some of the challenges they face in maintaining personal hygiene and accessing basic necessities. NJFP's initiative underscores the importance of collaborative efforts between organizations and communities in driving positive change.
Community leaders who attended the ceremony expressed their happiness with NJFP's work, stating that the organization is doing a great job in Imo State. Their endorsement highlights the appreciation for NJFP's contributions and the potential for continued partnership in addressing community needs.
NJFP Imo State Cluster 4 efforts demonstrate a commitment to empowering communities through support and provision of essential resources.
The fellows who carried out this project are the ones that is posted in host organizations that is within Orlu, Orsu, Isu, Nwangele, Njaba, Oru East, and Oru West LGAs of the state.
